Our History

PT Jembo Cable Company Tbk., founded in April 1973, started by producing Low Voltage electrical cables - copper conductors. Then continue to add product varieties such as low voltage cables - aluminum conductors, medium voltage cables, telephone cables and fiber optic cables and also expand the market, to support needs in the housing, building, infrastructure, industrial, oil and gas, mining, shipping and FPO, and lighting sectors for airports. The cables produced have received certification from leading certification institutions and also certification related to Domestic Content Level (TKDN)

In 1992, the company listed its shares on the Jakarta Stock Exchange, which is now known as the Indonesian Stock Exchange and entered into a technical cooperation agreement with Fujikura Ltd., one of the leading cable companies from Japan.

PT Jembo cable Company Tbk., continue to innovate to meet customer needs. As historical note, PT Jembo cable Company Tbk, is a pioneer of fiber optic cables in Indonesia with initial production in 1993 and metal corrugated armored cables in 2015, cables specifically used by companies operating in the oil and gas mining sector. Now metal corrugated cables have been used by international scale mining companies such as PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia (now PT. Pertamina Hulu Rokan), PT Freeport Indonesia, Conoco Philips (now PT. Medco Energi Internasional Tbk.) and others.
